The other day I was at my local Wal-Mart buying after shave to satisfy the needs of my shaggy beard. While in the check out line I saw a sale on a book... This book:

Now, being the man that I am I was very skeptical of the novel. Churches were banning this book left and right calling it blasphemous and a disgrace toward christianity. But the more I looked at it the more I thought, "what is so bad about this book that seems so harmless." With a shaky hand I reached foward and grabbed the paperback half expecting lightning bolts to strike me down where I stood. Once I realized how silly that sounds I began to read the back of the book:

It didnt really cover anything in the book just about how good the book is. Feeling less than intrigued I was about to put the book back when I saw it:

Wait just half a second here.... FICTION?!?!... ENTERTAINMENT?!?! Why are people whining about something that some guy sitting in his mom's basement eating Pizza Rolls and listening to his old Winger tapes made up off the top of his head? I mean, Harry Potter is about witchcraft and black magic and all this stuff that some people have deemed bad but I love the series. If you are going to get all whiny about something that has no factual evidence backing it and never will please get off your soapbox. I bought the book and have read 2 chapters (still don't know what all the fuss is about) and plan to see the movie if the book is that intriguing. Plus, from a christian standpoint, it will be alot easier to argue my case on this book when I actually know what the book is about!
